The Goodchildren Band

What's a parade without bands?
We nearly found out on our inaugural outing, when we had a last minute cancellation by our high school marching band. Enter the intrepid foundation of the Goodchildren Marching Band!

Our first parade featured our stalwart pals (and now band honchos) Clifford McPeek and Michael Joseph, on the pocket trumpet and baritone horn, respectively. Just those two played us the whole route, from Poland to Elysian Fields! We have since gotten them some help, and now we generally have at least one other musical group, too.

The Goodchildren Band is of the old-school pickup style, where most anyone who can play an instrument while they march is welcome! Hence, it is a constantly revolving group with a steady core, the Pair-a-Dice Tumblers.
With the able assistance of the Tumblers, Clifford and Michael choose music, arrange/transpose it for horns, and try to hold at least a couple practices. Lately, we have been very fortunate to have also had our own dancing girls, the glorious Roux LaLa!
It's a good time, playing mostly for love and beer, and the occasional Andrew Jackson. Love to hear from you if you are interested in being part of the band!
