Dolls, After-Party & More! 10/28/2011
Hey y'all! Hope you've saved the date! 2011 Fringe Parade rolls on Saturday, November 19. Lineup 1:00 Poland Ave neutral ground, roll 2:00 sharp! Theme is "Higher Ground"; music for "Higher Ground", "Wade in the Water", and "Everyday People is on our website under the Band tab -- thanks to our magnificent maestro Clifford McPeek! Free to download and practice! Press release #1 went out today, still room for updates as they come in! So if you haven't signed up your group yet, do it today! The after-party will be at the St. Roch Tavern, from disband till 6:00. Free beer with wristbands! Wristbands will be handed out at the lineup -- so please be on time! We'll have three doll parties scheduled: #1 -- Saturday (tomorrow!) at Ms. Pearl's, 712 Alvar St. from 4-8ish. #2 -- Saturday, November 12 at the Food Co-op Grand Opening, Healing Center, 12-6 #3 -- Thursday, November 17 at the Fringe Tent, Press & Dauphine, 7-9 Fun, fun, fun! Bring any old dolls or craft stuff, fabric, glue guns etc you may have! We will have a table at the Mirliton Festival and would love for someone to help us get a kid-friendly parade-related activity going -- that is Saturday, November 5 from 12-6. General updates: Sponsors are set: NO Fringe, Bywater Neighborhood Association, Faubourg Marigny Improvement Association, Mardi Gras Zone, and St. Roch Tavern. Tell them you love them! King & Queen will be David & Roselyn. Tell them you love them, too! Groups rolling so far: Goodchildren Band, Roux La La, NOLA Food Co-op, Bearded Oysters and Drumcart, Fringe performers, 504 Dancing Man, Silver People/Busker's Bunkhouse and more!
